Yes, KC has romantic getaways. The Plaza is one of them. Crown Center is another. Excelsior Springs (north of KC) has the Elms Resort...very romantic.
KC is a great place to visit...friendly people, a lot of history and tons of things to do.

yes getting out of the city. That place sucks. was there last year for an footbal game and the whole city shuts down on the weekends at like 9pm
