It goes back to when women were not allowed to be "forward" with men. There was a time when men and women were not equal and women were thought to not have enough "right" or "know how" on choosing a man. It also stems from the thought that men are stronger and more powerful and all of the decisions were made by them.
Now, it does not have to be that the man asks the woman; however, most of the time they appreciate it. Som women still feel that it isn't right to be so forward because that might be taken as a "Lose Woman".

Why?
Because the man is the male. He is the one that is suppose to be in control, head of family. women are the weaker sex..... But anyways.
Men should be the one to ask women out. It's better that way and women like it more. Most women
