Teens spell that way to seem cool, but they'll grow out of it. Of course, if they don't learn to spell first, then they will have to work at a job where there is pictures of the food on the cash register buttons instead of words and numbers...

Some of them are terrible.Once I went to the Evanessence website to print lyrics and it was a disaster and I'm not even going to get into rap lyrics which are like a wholer different language so yes I think they can

I won't blame it on the cd's but on the chat channels with the kids spelling problems.

No. I'm a teen, I spell just fine thank you. Music really doesn't "corrupt our minds" like so many think it does.

It certainly affects how they speak.

But an example I've seen in several places, as far as spelling goes, is : doncha for don't you.
