I think that disney was making it with another company or somthing and then that company quit and now pixar is making it. please x-plain.

Pixar left Disney and Disney retained the rights to the Toy Story franchise and started make TS3 without Pixar's involvement. When Eisner left as CEO of Disney, Pixar and Disney reunited and Pixar is back on track to make the movie.
