Losing 20 pounds in a month is not the healthy way to go. You shouldn't aim to lose more than 1 to 2 pounds a week, no matter what size you are. Extreme dieting not only compromises your health, but you're 75% more likely to gain the weight back after you've stopped than if you'd done it the healthy way. Which is.....

Eat more (but healthily) and exercise more! There is no magic pill or drink that sheds the pounds, contrary to popular belief.

Little changes in your lifestyle will help so much. Eat smaller portions, and eat slowly so you'll feel when you're full. Avoid snacking on unhealthy, fatty foods by posting a list of heart healthy foods on the fridge. Get involved in your cooking so you know exactly what's in it. Include fiber (found in fruits, veggies, and whole grains) in your diet; it'll fill you up faster and make you feel full longer. Low-fat dairy and whole grains have been shown (in addition to a healthy lifestyle) to make smaller waists. Make exchanges: instead of eating high-fat potato chips, eat a few fat-free Pringles. Instead of eating ice cream, eat low-fat frozen yogurt. And most importantly, excercise! 3 or 4 times a week, at least. Cardio is best for people expecting fast results. (running, swimming, biking, stairs, jump roping, etc.)

Just be sure not to cut out any specific thing from your diet. A lot of people make the mistake of trying to cut out all fats, even the goods ones. Don't do it! It'll compromise your health and your diet.

Eat a healthy, balanced diet and exercise, and the weight will come off. Good luck!

You might wind up in the hospital...because 20 lbs is alot to lose in a month.

I'd begin a fruit & veggie diet...getting your protein in there once a day...tofu/beans/chicken? I'm a vegetarian, but I don't know how you get your protein. But protein actually helps you lose weight...and keep it off. Basically you just need a stable consistant diet...and you will begin to see the pounds drop. Exercise 15-20 minutes a day...that's a quicker way to lose, but always think of your health first*

Be patient and I am aware that if you lose 20 pounds within a month it'll be mistake.You'll put your organism to extreme stress and then it is very common the kilograms you've lost for so short time to be gained soon again..So don't push yourself too much!I do recommend you to separate proteins from carbohidrates.It really work as a magic,drink many liquids,cut the sweet and excercise,try to be more relaxed..some yoga will help you too. 10 lbs a month is more likely. Watch portion sizes, do some sort of exercise every day, no junk food, lower carb.
