I try not to think like that, but when you have a country that millions of people around the world are trying to get into, and that means millions from Africa, Asia, South America, Central America and Europe, there must be something to your premise. People risk their lives to get to America so it has to be the best. I don't see 12 million illegals living in any other country of the world, plus another 8 million legals living in another country with waiting list of over 20 million from around the world trying to get in. If you know of another country that has that many people trying to get in let us all know, because it is not on planet Earth. I mean there are over 50 million non Americans trying to become American. There sure aren't that many trying to be Canadian, or any other nationality that I know of. America has to be the best and it has been blessed by God with just about everything so He must have created everything for Americans.
To answer those who say it is only for the rich whites I can't go along with that. If that's true why are so many blacks, browns and yellows from Africa, South America and Asia dying in their efforts to get to such a racist country and make a new life as an American. There is racism in America but it's not as bad as the rest of the world. Don't be so smug in your little racist country that treats people of color much worse that America does. In fact look up the number of people of color that leave your country after being there a couple of years to get to racist America. You'd be shocked. It is large. I take it you're Canadian by your smug attitude. If not then I apologize and if I'm right it just goes to show that America is God's country.

this goes way back to when america won its independence from britian. after that, the concept of manifest destiny set in and they started really expanding the nation and killing many of the natives because god had decided that america should expand all the way to the west coast. after the west coast was finally part of america, the idea that god loved america and the people in it (as long as they were white, christian males that had a lot of money) was so inbedded in the culture. even today in america there are people that say that god hates anyone thats not white and christian. so these people look at othe countries and pick them apart and decide that these countries suck in comparision to america. and it's these peopel that voice that opinion more annoyingly than the americans that don't think that everything was made just for them.

Because this country is run by rich elites and that's how those people think. Typical U.S. folk don't think that way, but they're not the ones running the show in Washington.

We think that? I always sort of thought we were in the position to help other countries and get into world affairs because we're rich.

OUR forefathers died for us to be here and we are thankful.
