Don't let him scratch them. Nothing much else you can do

Chicken Pox cannot get wet,or be scratched. This only spreads them, and it will take longer to heal. Your doctor can prescribe a oral medication,to stop him from scratching so much. Apply Calamine Lotion to the bumps. Smooth it on like regular body lotion. Can even be applied to the face. Soon the lotion will start to fade away. Don't attempt to wash it off, just reapply. It will take from 10-14 days for the skin to get back to normal. Do not apply to the eyelids. Calamine dries them up quicker, and will prevent the little scars that remain on the body for a lifetime. Because you can't bathe your child, purchase a box of "Body Wipes",to freshen up his hands, feet, arms, legs, etc. and a box of "Baby Wipes",for his tush, and peri-area.

Put some oatmeal in an old sock, tie it shut and put it in a warm bath. Let him sit in there for awhile. It should help a little with the itching!

Be a responsible parent, instead of asking non medical people , go to your child's pediatrician. Or call your hospital for the doctor on call from your office and they will call you back and tell them what is going on. either way seek medical attention.

Maybe take him/her to a docter and see what medicine he/she is alowed to take so it can go away a little easier and make them stop scratching alittle. Have them eat healthy food and make them drink alot of water! Have extra bandaids just incase his/her chicken poxs starts to bleed. Try to let them have comfertable clothing on. Like soft pajamas! Try to me he/she not have their minds on it alot, and keep them focused and relaxed. Talk about their older life, or maybe any plans after he/she feels better. Let them have about 9-12 hours asleep a day. And let them watch tv, make them happy, just try not to let them scrath his chicken poxs to much. Dont try to let him/her out of the house so they dont get any other sickness or germs. Or dont let he/she play with there friends so they dont spread it on. ( They can talk n the phone and sutff ) Have a humidifiyer in the room so he could breath a little better and not worry about his/her chicken pox. Let them have alot of care. And you should probably make them have vitamins 1 time a day. Read books to them, just try not to make them upset bc. it will put alot of pressure and a headache on them bc their crying or angry while their worring about there chicken poxs. Play little games like cards, checkers, candyland etc. wat ever you have! Oh! And also let them color if they want. That really gets there mind off of everything else! :)

I got really nothnig else to say. I really really hope your child will feel better and act like it never happened! :)

Hope I Helped!
