Both ways are acceptable. I generally spell it "gray," but it really doesn't matter. Whichever you like!

Gray is the most used of the two, but grey is acceptable. They are both in the dictionary.

gray does not work
I spell it grey.

I always thought that grey was Brit-English and gray was Ameri-English.
