Walking is much lower impact than running. Walking probably is not agrivating the injury as much as running work.
Consider:
- Using ice 20 min. on, 20 min. off 2 or 3 times a day.
- Use a knee brace for support when running until it feels better, get one with the steel brakets on either side to help control side to side motion. Don't use brace for too long as it can prevent your body from supporting on it's own if the brace is always there.
- If not better in about a week or two. See an orthopedic doctor.
- Asprin or Advil or your favorite pain killer can also help with the pain and cut down on any swelling.

I had a compressed fracture in my knee. It did not hurt at all, so I did not know about it till my stepmom noticed my knee was swollen. Go to the doctor. Rest your leg. If needed, physical therepy helps a lot!!!!!!

you have probabally not let it heal properly....lots of sprains and strains take a long time to heal. I would refrain from running for at least another week and take some Advil or Aleeve which both have anti inflamatorys in to keep the swelling down
