It's yellowish orangeish with black spots

Well, i'd suggest letting it go away from your house, but those are the poisonous colors, so be careful when you handle it. But if it is poisonous it isnt that bad, the skin may just have an oil that makes you itchy or red.

I would check with the game warden-they will know or at least find out for you, if you are wanting it as a pet. You could maybe ask a vet too.
Look up salamanders or poisonous salamanders on a web search and you will find some pictures that may guide you.

If it is brightly colored it is probably poisonous. I don't know if it applies to salamanders but check its eyes if the pupils are round it is not venomous. If they are slitted it is venomous.

Who cares? Just put it back where you found it. Don't believe anything people on yahoo answers tells you about things like this. Most of them have no clue what they're talking about.

If you lick it, you will know. So don't lick it. It's not venemous. They don't have teeth, they're not going to bite you!

i dont know, but if you leave it alone, it will leave you alone.
you could trap it without touching it and put it somewhere away from your house, dont kill it.
