It's only early Summer, and most will still be trying to get their metabloic rates up from the long Winter (Wombulus Wimbledonis are pilkio-thermic, like snakes and other Reptilia), and they will not be up-and -about until their primary food source is growing well - dandelion flowers, and the Lesser Green Caddis Flies that grub upon them. Also, having risen from the burrow, and then fed, the Wombles will return to the chamber for a prolonged rutting session with the female of the species, for around ten days.
Last week, I found some scat-pellets, so maybe some have risen very early!

They are all on their Summer holidays at the moment. I think this year they are going to Germany to help with the litter problems around the World Cup venues!!

They've moved to their holiday home which is in Brighton, they're living it up on the beach, collecting shells and stuff!
