I have found that having your computer go into standby or hibernate mode generally causes nothing but glitches. My suggestion is to do the following after you reboot:
1. Right click on a blank space on your desktop.
2. Left click on Properties.
3. Left click on the tab for Screen Saver.
4. Left click on "Monitor Power"
5. Change the settings so that they all read "Never".
6. Left Click on "Apply", and then "OK".
Good luck.

I had the same problem. Reboot. Works everytime. And change your monitor power settings, so that the monitor won't go into hibernation/standby mode.
