Not that I'm aware of.

I thought that they only MOVED things out of the way. Separating as they go along.

I do know that C-sections are performed better than many yrs ago.

Instead of cutting THROUGH the muscle/skin etc they NOW go SLOWER and DON'T cut THROUGH the muscle.

Then again, anything is possible AND every doctor has a different technique. Not all doctors perform surgery in the same exact way!!!

I have never heard of that but it may be why they put the big curtain up and tell the person in the room with you to stay on the other side. I'm sure I'd faint... I'm currently 36 1/2 weeks and I've had 4 vaginal births. My biggest nightmare is a c-section for some reason... I've never had surgery or been cut so I suppose that's why.

Also, I know that there are a few different types of cuts for c-sections so maybe that may be the issue here. A bikini cut clearly is horizontal and lower on your torso while a vertical cut seems like it would invade more organ space so maybe that's the difference.

I helped deliver my three boys cesarean with two different mothers. Understand that during the operation of birth, the incision is made just above the pubic hair line and is about 8 inches across. Pull out a medical dictionary and look at a cross diagram of the human body (female) pregnant if possible, and look at the obstacles involved. It is a very save procedure and has delivered many healthy babies. Three of them were mine. There is a necessity to move some organs to one side or another in order to get the baby out of the amniotic sac. The obstetricians for my children were very good at making me a part of their births and honestly, while the surgury was very graphic and colorful and like the surgeons, the part I remember vividly is the baby in the sac, and the steps to get them out and separating them from the mother and giving them life. I hope that I answered your question and I do not remember the intestine being taken out of the mothers, either one.

I had a C-Section a little over 7 months ago. I do think that they take out the insides of the women, only so that they can reach the baby. My c-section was planned so there was no searching for the baby. But an unplanned c-section is completley different. My friend had one almost a year ago and all her insides where taken out so they can get the baby out faster and easier. So it depends on the situation.

I myself have never heard of such a thing...... a c-section is just a cut below the belly button or there abouts, and the dr. delivers the baby from that incesion.. there might be cases such has you discribe if the baby is caught or the cord is severely wrapped around the throat or other things could go wrong..... but then again, I am sorry to say, you have to consider the source... ROFL.. men dont really know just what they are looking at half the time........ did this husband ask about it ??? it could have been the after birth he saw ....... God bless

Actually they just sat mine on my stomach. My husband said it was gross. The thing is, My cervix is up VERY high causing a sharp turn in my pelvis. This means, it difficult for a small baby to make that turn. My son was 10 lbs 4 oz and it was therefore impossible. He couldn't even drop down. I know it seems nasty but the ends justify the means. In fact, I'm having a c-section with the baby I'm pregnant with now. Given the size of my son, I doubt this one will be small enough to drop.

Well, I've had three c-sections. My husband was there with all three, and the only time he saw them take anything out was with my last one when I had my tubes tied. He said they took out my uterus and placed it on top of my chest, cut and burned the fallopian tubes, and put it back inside. They do this all the time, they are professionals, they save lives every day. I wouldn't be too concerned about it, once you go through it, it's really quite easy.

:)

I know it's not every time they take organs out. Usually they move them around - but each woman is different, and each woman is treated differently. It just depends on the situation at hand.

I've had two C-sections. Both times the incision was no wider than 4-5 inches. I don't think that they would be able to take out your intestines and get them all to fit back in a hole that small. And they probably would have killed me if they had done so. I wouldn't listen to these guys. Sounds like they're having fun with you.
