I'm not saying that if you don't support the war then you have. I'm just wondering if people know the cost of keeping the US free, and if we don't take care of terrorist then they might make it a home game.

just because bin laden isn't in the news, it doesn't mean we arn't hunting him. TERRORIST ARE TERRORIST, IT doesn't matter where they are.

For everyone who says that Iraq had nothing to do with 9\11.
We are fighting a war on terrorism and there is no single country that we are fighting. The terrorists are based and\ or supported in many ways and operate independently of each other but they all have the same goal. Afghanistan was a host country, Iran supports them with money and equipment, Saddam paid $$ for suicide bombers and had training camps. Syria is also a sponsor.
The point is that while Saddam may not have been directly involved with 9\11, he was a part of the bigger problem and had to be dealt with sooner or later. The terrorists are a network and need to be taken down wherever we find them.

Unfortuneately the worst terrorist in the world reside in the white house. I know this isn't something anyone want to hear. And this is sometthing anyone has the power to chack up on. America from a political stance will not under any circumstances give in to terrorists. It's not in it's new found nature. If and whenever there is a threat of any kind the standard procedure is to check all sources of the threat. Afterwards if it is declared that it is a positve threat then it is needed to have those that are in charge of the company to take a vacation. In short those that are absolutely needed to run the company. It is not in America's bet interest we shut down everything we have for an unlisted amount of time. And it can not be made public knowledge that there is an attack out of fear of panic. If the American people shut down then America will become weak. America can not, should not, and will not ever appear weak to anyone for any reason. If a threat is made and nothing happens, then America lost millions and billions of dollars and also flinched to the enemy showing it's weakness. Upon showing weakness it is possible to lose more economic balance. It is fair to say people are just merely numbers in the end, and can be replaced. But, the economy can be wrecked and take years even decades to repair. Not to get too far off the point. America was warned about the attack on 9/11 but, it was not considered serious. Upon knowledge of the planes take over, it was deemed neccessary to evacuate the top stock holders, ceos, and presidents as standard prcedure. It was the hope that the planes would miss the buildings since it would take years of training for the accuracy. But, sadly America was wrong.

Fighting terrorism is a good thing. Here's the trick, though. Terrorists are criminals. They're like the guys who knock off liquor stores only with religious zealotry. Attacking countries that aren't associated with terrorism and seeking to beat terrorists in misguided conventional wars is stupid. Iraq had absolutely NO (zero, nada, zilch) connection to 9/11 (Afghanistan is a different story, of course.) Poorly justified war drains our resources, pulls our attention away from where it belongs, and gives us a false sense of security. Not to mention the fact, we lose the lives of our own people senselessly.
Terrorism is a street fight, not a military fight. By all means, let's go after terrorists now that we've wasted years of resources and energy on an enemy that wasn't engaged in terrorism.

No I haven't forgotten 9/11. I just don't see any connection between Iraq and the planes hitting the towers, the pentagon, or the field in Pennsylvania.
Zawqari wasn't responsible for that day's events, UBL was. If we spent half as much time hunting for him as we do shoring up Haliburton's profits by fighting in Iraq, we'd have him in front of a jury or in the ground by now.

Oh, stop! How can anyone forget?!? The republicans shove it down our throats every chance they get, even if the topic at hand has nothing to do with it. We are not fighting in Iraq because of September 11, 2001. If this is what you think, you may want to do a little more research.

No, but what does Iraq have to do with it? What does Iran have to do with it? Bin Laden is still out there. Aren't we fighting to catch him? Why doesn't anyone in the administration mention him anymore?

No we haven't forgotten that we are killing way more people than were killed on 9/11 fighting a country that wasn't involved.

I haven't forgotten. Unfortunately your president seems to have either forgotten or been strangely sidetracked into a pointless war with his former friends.
