Yes, it truly is better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all because I can tell you that my life has changed so drastically because of the man that I loved and still love and always will love...for the people that have never been "in love" before....it's the most beautiful feeling in the world...you think that you can get through anything when you have that person by your side.....anything is possible even though it may not turn out for the best. It's not always a "romantic" feeling 24/7 and sometimes that significant other can get on your nerves but there's nothing better than sitting, drinking coffee on a Saturday or Sunday morning, reading a book on the deck outside with your guy/girl by your side...the satisfaction and closeness, the intimacy that the two of you share in quiet moments, the reliability and honesty, just the way their eyes may light up when they are telling a story or sharing a joke, the little squeeze that they give you on your shoulder as they pass by you in a room, the belly laughs that the two of you share when your both being silly and you can't stop laughing....reciting lines from favorite movies and leaving funny voice mails, cooking together side by side in silence while listening to classical music and especially laying next to that person in bed while they are sleeping and memorizing every line of their face as the most amazing feelings well up inside of you almost to the point where you feel like your heart will break, knowing that that other person isn't "in love" with you, they care deeply for you but they just can't feel what isn't there.....yes, I know what it feels like to have lost "my love" but I did get a taste of it and I would trade my life for just one more minute with him.....

I believe this is so true! To know the joy of love and all of the emotions that come with being in love is indescribable. Once you have felt the feeling of being in love, you would understand the true meaning of the saying. And, having truly loved someone, makes you a better person.

Yes.

My friend has loved and lost. She will always have the memories, such sweet memories, of holding and being held, of loving and being loved.
I have 'not been loved at all.'
I have no such memories.
She cries at night because her heart aches when she's not with him. They broke up.

I am dead inside. One girl brought something back for me. Almost made me whole again. But she and I will never be, and my breif existance has ended.

I shall wait for her.
Forever waiting...

I think so because it gets you ready for the real thing. I was in love a few times before I married My husband, but none were as deep as the love I have for him and he has for me.
