This depends on a personal definition of "crazy", and if one thinks that their behaviour is now indeed very different and upsetting from what they are used to. I understand the point you make, about consciousness, and whether you'd have to be sane or insane to know the difference between both states of mind.

I think it's more of a concern if someone thinks that they are not "crazy", but they recognise that things just seem very different now to how they always were. But I do not think you're crazy, because you are in a present state of mind to ask the question in the first place. Good luck anyway friend.

Craziness can be cause by stress or conflicts within the mind of your personal being and other who put pressure. It can also be the people you hang around with. You know sometimes, it makes you wonder about the limits of of a person's mental being!!!

And that's the crazy part!!!

Psychologically speaking, there's no such thing as crazy or insane. These are terms used in the court of law to justify actions the actions of the defendant.
According to psychology, only 2% of the world's population are 100% psychologically well (as in no symptoms of any disorders, that includes complexes and phobia's) healthy, and 2% are psychologically hopelessly unhealthy.
As for you categorizing yourself as crazy? well, i need more than that to give you a conclusive opinion, but schizophrenics can know they are schizophrenics, and that doesn't make them any less ill.
But if you're talking about the social kinna crazy, well, hey, i think we all need to go crazy once in awhile in order not to loose our minds permenantly!!!

I think it's possible for someone to think they're going mad, particularly if they're under prolonged stress. You may recognise the signs that may lead to a nervous breakdown. This I think is quite distinct from someone suffering from a mental illness. A relative of mine, slowly descended into a horrible place but he was convinced that he was the only sane one!

I have always heard it said that if you actually considered that you might be crazy you probably are not. I guess crazy people would never would think that they may be crazy.

If they believe they are crazy, but aren't, then they really are crazy. If they believe they are not crazy, but are, then they are crazy, but just don't realise it. If they believe that they are not crazy and aren't, then your like me. And I was ok. before I started trying to answer this question.

If a person has the mental capacity to evaluate himself in the light of society's perception of him and manages to correctly pinpoint such perception, such person cannot be qualified as "crazy."

How about if they believe they're crazy and they're not? What then? Surely that's insanity? OOOH what a question!
