Introducing a baby into a relationship can be hard on both partners. My wife and I just had our first baby too.

Right now, due to my work schedule, I see more of my baby then I see my wife and I feel like we have grown apart alittle. That is natuaral.

I think the love you felt will come back. Have patience and try to make the time together with you hubby fun like how things used to be. You will most likely find that you do still love like you did before.

Not only is love one of the strongest emotions we feel, Mama1, it cannot be captured in a bottle for use later. Love waxes and wains, sometimes strong when you need it, sometimes not. Even though it cannot be measured, love does have degrees. The degree of love you feel today will be different than what you feel tomorrow. So, it is "right" (ie: ok) for you to feel less love now after the birth of your child. The strength may increase tomorrow; it may not.

But even though the degree of love may vary, what is important is that love be present. As long as it's present, I believe you do not have to be concerned about the feeling not being as strong as it was before.

If your a new mom your change in hormones and shift into motherhood will make him less desirable to you. I assume that's what you meen by love. If your child is over the age of 1 you may need help. You could have clinical depression brought on by the birth of your baby. This won't go away on its own. See your local mental health professional

it may not be that you don't love him the same its just that after you have a child there is a different type of love and also you have to understand that now you have a child in your life that's takin up all ur time and love as well... it's perfectly normal not to feel the same as long as you still love your partner... maybe with time you will love him more but after a child things are never the same
