I personally don't see anything wrong with it. I am working on mine now...
I mean as long as you don't give too much info...

Personally, I do not care. It is like walking outside placing your picture. Or even working in a store with a nametag.
Remember there are many online criminals, meaning that if they see a beautiful picture, they could abuse it and use it in a bad way. Like match your face to a playboy body (exposed). And then post numerous pictures online. That has been done in the past.
If you see my avatar, I photoshoped it alot. It resembles me in the background altered in every way shape and form. But as long as you don't show much and of course don't give your full contact information then you will be safe from cyber criminals.
Trust me there are alot out there, since that business is GOLD

I think only showy people will do this.
Or Those how want others to know who really they are.
I don't do that, because I don't want any one to judge me on my look. I am a human being, and so you must not judge me on how I look.
