The following was a speech given to a joint session of congress a while back... Cant beleive they tried to push this partisan crap on us:
Together, we must confront the new hazards of chemical and biological weapons and the outlaw states, terrorists, and organized criminals seeking to acquire them. Saddam Hussein has spent the better part of this decade and much of his nation's wealth not on providing for the Iraqi people but on developing nuclear, chemical, and biological weapons and the missiles to deliver them...
I know I speak for everyone in this chamber, Republicans and Democrats, when I say to Saddam Hussein, "You cannot defy the will of the world," and when I say to him, "You have used weapons of mass destruction before. We are determined to deny you the capacity to use them again."

That speech was given by President Bill Clinton on Jan 27, 1998... On December 15th of that year, he bombed Iraq for not cooperating with the US. Apparently Democrats can be wrong, too.

confident, Bush noted WMD's, so did Clinton. Clinton released Operation Dessert Fox in an attempt to decrease Saddam Hussein's means to supply WMD's the single concern that often seems to be skipped over is the multiple different violations of UN Resolutions that Saddam Hussein has refused to conform with. On November 8, 2002 United international locations protection Council determination 1441 became handed. This determination became a 'very final" warning to Hussein to conform with right here. determination 660, determination 661, determination 678, determination 686, determination 687, determination 688, determination 707, determination 715, determination 986, and determination 1284. The vote in this determination (1441) became 15 - 0, Russia, China, Syria and different Arab international locations all supported it and voted in want WMD's have been area of a few of those resolutions as became the producing of particular unlawful missiles and additionally coated Iraq's refusal to compensate Kuwait for injury accomplished while Iraq invaded Kuwait. I bear in mind Bush addressing the joint congress and Iraq's violation of UN determination 1373. how a lot of persons that say Bush lied, bear in mind that the United international locations value on Human Rights got here across Iraq to have quite grave human rights subject concerns, this learn became accomplished in 2001. i might want to invite the liberals this question. "in case you tell your new child that in the event that they do no longer sparkling their room which you will floor them" What do you do in the event that they do no longer do as you asked? Do you floor them or do you basically enable it bypass ? we could assume which you enable it bypass, now you maintain giving your toddlers warning after warning after which you're saying "it is your very final warning" in the event that they nevertheless fail to conform do you ultimately floor them? Saddam Hussein became given warning after warning and did no longer comply, as quickly as the perfect warning became given we've been left without decision yet to back up our threats. Bush did this, i think of Clinton in all hazard might have accomplished it. in certainty the only president that i will think of of in modern history that would not have acted in this manner could be Jimmy Carter.

Did you want to ask a question or do you not "get" the point of the website?

Was it described as "shock and awe" I wonder? Did thousands of human lives get wasted for, well, nothing? Was this after the UN, after an investigation, proclaimed that Iraq did not have WMD?

Just so you know, those are examples of QUESTIONS.

And all politicians make mistakes-they're human. Its just the extent of the repercussions of the mistakes that count.

Yeah - go ahead and try to fool us into doing some thinking. I ain't going to work.

We liberals aren't that easy to persuade to have an open mind about anything, especially if all you have are facts to back it up.
