do you think gov pardons for first time felonies are granted rarely because the gov just does grant them or people just dont turn there lives around

It's because they are not politically connected.

I think they are granted rarely, because rarely are they deserved. Crime is crime - if it is proven that they didn't do something they were charged with, then I think a pardon is appropriate, but just for "first time felonies with good behavior" -- NO WAY!
