Deep Cut Gardens, which is a park in the Monmouth County Park system in New Jersey, was once the home of Vito Genovese. You can visit the park (really is beautiful) and see where this mob boss spent his time, although his mansion burned down in 1937. Really interesting to spend time in the park's peaceful surroundings and think of the violent contrast of it's historical link to Mr. Genovese.

Ok how about some odd laws?
If you mispronounce "Arkansas" when you are in that state, you are breaking the law!

You can't go barefoot in Austin, Texas without a $5 permit.

It is illegal to spit against the wind in Sault Sainte Marie, Michigan.

Or....................Did you know that butterflies taste with their feet? Or
That oranges will not ripen after being picked, but lemons will?

That is all I can think of for now, I am a fountain of useless information lol!!

The Amundsen-Scott South Pole Station lies within 100 meters (330 ft) from the Geographic South Pole, making it the southernmost continually inhabited place on the planet. Red lights are used outside during the winter darkness as their spectrum does not pollute the sky, allowing scientists to conduct astrophysical studies without artificial light interference.
