You answered your own question pretty accurately. Some do, some don't. And "hate" may be too strong a word even for a lot of the ones who are not his supporters. Try "disapprove" or "dislike" or "disrespect". Haters there will always be, but most people seem to be able to separate politics from the man.

To be perfectly honest, I do not hate Bush. I do however, believe that he has made a mockery of the office of president of the United States. Furthermore, after listening to many of his speeches, it is painfully obvious that he does not care for the vast majority of Americans. Also, he is sadly under the impression that he is ordained by God to be president and should not listen to the advice of the more intelligent people around him. He acts out of what he calls "faith" which is frankly a slap in the face to any Christian that is intelligent enough to think for themselves. He has caused the deaths of many soldiers because of his "faith" that there was an imminent threat which was completely false. Yet he still shows no remorse for destroying many American families and causing the deaths of loved ones.

I hate Bush and his policies. I hate Rebublicans in general though. But Bush especially. Having a president like him almost makes me ashamed to be American.

Most people don't hate him, but many do not like the direction that he has taken the country, his last polls showed that only about 29 % of the people still support him.

Prez Bush is very polarizing. You either hate him and think he is the nastiest, biggest idiot on the planet or you think he's a cool, towel-snapping kind of guy. My husband thinks he's great. I do not.
