It's very normal during the first trimester to feel fatigued. It's your body adjusting to the hormone levels (and lack there of).
Pick up a copy of the book "What To Expect When Expecting" by Heidi Murkoff. It's a great resource book that will "walk" you through your pregnancy. It's a GUIDE, not anything more. All women are different and while the book is fantastic, it should never replace what your medical professional says.
Another decent book is "Your Pregnancy Week by Week" by Glade Curtis. As the title says, it's a GENERAL guide of what to expect week by week during your pregnancy. Remember it's general information, just as the other book I mentioned and not all women feel or have the same things happen at the time lines that are given.
You can find the book at all major bookstores, library or probably even order it online.
Best of luck on your pregnancy, you'll do great!Enjoy every minute, even when you're not feeling up to par!

Yes it is normal. All pregnancies are different! One you could have a lot of energy or you could have no energy. There are a lot of factors that determine how you feel during a pregnancy, and to many to list, but one big one is age. My sister had a kid at 20 and another one at 22 and now she is pregnant for a 3rd time at 26 and she said she is so much more tired with this pregnancy than with the first two.
So yeah it is normal. You may want to talk to your doctor and see if there is anything he can give you to help with the tiredness!

Oh that is very very normal. I am now 16 weeks along and STILL im very tired. I was a very tired person before i was pregnant that just got worst in the first trimester...its better now, but im still very tired. My doctor told me it was normal. Pregnant women tend to sleep way more than other women do. Nothing to be worried about.

Definitely normal!! I am five and a half weeks. I am exhausted!! I went from being the one in my family that stayed up till about midnight every night to being the one to hit the bed now at about nine.!! I get up at six thirty and go to work, come home, cook, get my four year old ready for bed, do some family time, and I go to bed ASAP! Just sleep as much as you can!! And CONGRATULATIONS!!!

Flash back to my early pregnancy. Worked 8-5 and went home, ate dinner and slept until the next morning. This lasted most of the first trimester. Then i got crazy amounts of energy. Its totally normal. Enjoy the sleep while you can.

VERY NORMAL. I would sleep as much as you are able to do. You body is telling you that it needs it. Your fetus is growing at a very rapid rate and this takes alot out of you. It will do you and your baby some good to get all of the rest you need.

Very normal. Your body is working so hard on the inside, you just can't see it yet. Rest when you want to or are able to. If it continues or is unbearable talk to your doctor, you may have a touch of anemia.
