Is this person really your friend, or are you trying to start a rumor? Because, that's the vibe I'm getting from your question; and that would be totally without class.
If this is a serious question, what does it really matter? Unless one or the other of you is wanting to explore. And if that were the case, but the other didn't feel that way at all, discussing it would be a tremendous strain on the friendship.
Drop it, if you're really her friend. Whether or not it's true, the last thing she needs from a friend is a bunch of questions that she may not be ready to answer out loud.

Ask yourself this first... if she is gay what does it really matter to you?
If you're in school and she really is gay chances are shes not going to tell you out of fear of what will happen in school. If your out of school, ask her!
If your not gay and shes hitting on you then there is a problem, and you'll want to address that.
I have many gay friends! And they are my best friends! Being gay does not make you a bad person. Its a choice of like... there choice of life.

are you really her friend? If yes, then it should not make a difference unless she comes on to you. Ask her if she is gay, maybe she is just into a bit of experimenting.
