I was wondering the same thing but I wouldn't want to risk it. In my area there is a company called "Stanley Steamer" that does steam cleaning on carpets and furniture. A friend of mine used them on her couches and said they looked brand new. If you have that company in your area, I would call them. I believe it only costs around $35 to get it done. If not, try to test a small, hidden area of the couch to see if the carpet shampooer will work with the fabric.

It's probably not OK to use carpet shampoo on microfiber furniture. There should be a letter on the tags on your furniture that have a "code" that tells you how to clean it.

Your best bet is to use a dry cleaning solution or possibly rubbing alcohol.

I just drop about a half of a teaspoon of soap into a sink full of water and then dunk a rag in it, then I just wipe down the covers, have not had any problems. Also, the covers come off of my cushions so when I feel like a good clean, I take them off and put them in the washer (ON THE GENTLE CYCLE), microfiber is awesome!

It's never ok to us a carpet shampooer. They tend to leave things too wet for too long and the cleaners have a high pH so they leave a residue. Call a few local carpet and upholstery cleaners and get prices to have it professionally done. Also, call the manufacturer to ask how.

start with dish soap, if that don't work mild detergent, carpet shampoo should be saved for last but micro fiber is pretty color fast
