The more education you have, the more potential opportunities are available to you. Ask yourself, how far do I want to go in life? What level of success do I want to achieve? If you want to flip burgers or deliver pizza, I wouldn't study for a Master's degree. Standards are set for a minimum level of education so that society can be somewhat assured of your ability to function within it, anything beyond that remains soley your choice.

Cos I said so. That's what I tell my 6 year old anyway. I really don't know why so many years at school. Maybe it's because teachers are lazy and they like all the long holidays they get. You know if you took out all of the school hols, you're only at school for about 5 years. So you could go without all the holidays and finish at aged 10 when you might not be mature or capable of work.

It's a big waste of time, after a certain point.

Then we come out of high school, and we're not even prepared to enter the world of work.

Mainly because...society has made things so complex..that we have to go to school for a long time to adapt and understand it. In reality, you can function in society with a high school diploma. But, college is need to specialize in something..or just show that you can study and pass for another 4 yrs =P

learning is a gradual process; you don't learn everything all at once. the higher you go in grade level, the more difficult the process. also is a time of preparation for the real world.
