I just left my husband about 6 months ago and his best friend has been helping me with all of the divorce stuff. He is a great guy. Here's the problem he came to me last night and kissed me. Then told me that it wasn't the right timing cause he didn't want to take advatage of me cause i am very emosionable. Then he told me about how he has had felling for me for the past 3 years. and that my ex never treated me right. He's a good guy and he loves my kids. What do you think? Date him or not?

If he's good he can wait, and I suggest you do the same. Understand, that men who know you will now be coming out of the woodwork, and most will just want one thing. He may be worried about losing you to someone else and that's why he's rushing it. And maybe he should worry, you're fresh baby, do you know what you're market value is. Evaluate, and most importantly, take the time necessary to get comfortable in your new skin before you go getting involved. In the long run you'll have more piece of mind.

What kind of best friend would help the spouse out in a divorce. I could see if he was your best friend. It seems that he is not to much of a friend to your ex so why would you think he would be a good boyfriend to you. You dont need the risk. Divorce is hell no matter what AND you have kids too. ( I peaked at your profile) I have been divorced for 5 yrs and have custody of a son so I know. This just seems like a bad accident waiting to happen. There are plenty of guys out there. Maybe you're not that far away from me ; )

No - if he was a true friend he would have told you first before kissing you. He knew what he was doing and took advanage of the situation. Please be very careful if he is helping you with your business then he is also making sure that no other guy comes along to steal you. He could ruin something really right for you and the right guy may not show up if he sees that your friend is there.

If he is truly the right guy then let him date you the correct way like all other guys will. ( He has to ask first !)

I think the answer would be no. As a girl you should no there is the unwritten rule "don date your ex's best friend or family members. In the long run it wont makeu look very good. Believe me i have been in the situation. It could turn against u and the ex husband and friend could realize what u did was sort of "whoreish" and then it will be those two againt you.

Wait a while before you decide. Your divorce may be clouding your judgement, but if you do have real feelings for this guy, then go out with him by all means. Be careful not to rush into things and follow your heart.
Good Luck

I married my friends wife. I was divorced for 6 years and she was divorced for 5 years. We were always friends , good friends. But then one day we realized that it was good for us to be together. This is our 10th year married.
So give it time, there is no hurry, if it is meant to be then it will work itself out. best part is that you already are friends, and thats what makes a good relationship
