Tough question to give a simple 'yes or no' answer. Generally, at that dose, it is safe. However, there is controversy in the medical literature on this issue because in some laboratory experiments (not on humans) there is some evidence that the picolinate form (in high doses) can produce some oxidative stress.

Given the above 'caveat', this dose of chromium picolinate has been used for years by thousands of health care practitioners with no reported adverse effects.

Hope this was helpful. Best wishes.
