New York: I love New York

I was going to say:
Virginia: "Sic Semper Tyrannis" ("Thus Always to Tyrants")
but someone else had already answered correctly that the SLOGAN is Virginia is for Lovers.

The Tyrants phrase is the official state MOTTO of Virginia. I need to read more carefully. :-)

Ohio is for lovers!!! jk...I don't even listen to hawthorne hights. Anyway, our nickname is the Buckeye state and out motto used to be "with god, all things are possible". I really didn't like that motto cause I don't even believe in god and it's a little unfair. Kinda like the whole pledge of alleigance thing. Now the motto is "so much to discover". I don't really know what there is to discover in ohio except cornfields and swiss cheese, but oh well. I guess we DO have the rock and roll hall of fame up in Cleveland, though. Did you know their lake caught on fire once? Now us Cincinnatians down here make fun of cleveland all the time.

Haha..."mistake on the lake". No offense to anyone in cleveland but you need to stop polluting your lake.
