Yeah, you just ask him. But don't bother asking if he hasn't shown a few clear signs that he still cares. Like him calling a lot for no reason, making excuses to talk or be around you, acting like you both are still together. The real question may be; Do you still like your ex-boyfriend?

If he maintains a friendship... that is, phones every now and then just to see how your doing and all.
Otherwise, he might be selfish.
