My life went way bad for a while as I was young and completely disowned by my family. After about three years they started coming around and lightened up on me. Now it it good because I am who I am and if someone doesn't like it then they can stay away....

For the MOST part, my life got better. Sometimes bad things have come my way - (insults, rude behavior, unfair treatment, disrespect, discrimination at work). But I expect that these things can and do happen. The life of a lesbian isn't always easy and I accept that because I cannot change what I am, nor do I want to. I love women and I have a wonderful wife. My wife is in the coming out process. Her biggest thing is trying to feel comfortable and NOT caring about what others think of her or what they say. Men often flirt with her or ask her out, sometimes even AFTER she tells them, "No, I have someone." "No, I'm gay." She doesn't appreciate men disrespecting her. I just tell her that coming out gets easier after a while. You can't spend your life worrying about what others think.

When I came out of the closet, my life was much better because I found the match to my green Nike tennis shoes that I had not seen in a week!!! LOL...

my life got MUCH worse..:( I regret doing it with all my heart. sooo many thing went wrong and soo many thing got worse! I feel very bad, depressed, confused and tired of this all happening around me. While reading other answers I hoped to see at least one, one person who'd say that it wasn't good for the person..but I guess I'd be the only one?? If I was to turn back the hands of time I wouldn't decide to come out... :(

Its like every time I come out to an important person, my life gets a little happier, and a little brighter. Its nice :-) I highly encourage it.
