Well -- assassination refers to any killing of an "important" person. It is not limited to a head of state. RFK was assassinated, as was MLK. Check your dictionary folks.

Secondly, assassination is not covered by Geneva unless the person being assassinated is a prisoner of war.

Thirdly, he just plain needed killing.

Oh, yeah, and both parties don't have to be signatories to Geneva for the convention to apply. It is a self-policing policy that by signing on you claim to adhere, regardless of the enemy.

But, as I said, it doesn't apply here because he wasn't a prisoner of war. In just about any definition, he was a combattant and therefore a legitimate target.

For starters, Al Qeda is not a sovrien natiion. Therefore they did no sign the geneva convention agreement. It's proberly why they run around cutting off heads.

I must say you do make a good point, after all that attack was murder any way you look at it and it is illegal to murder someone else. However, since it is the government they can apparently do whatever they want to and get away with it. Even if it is in poor taste.

First, if someone is not a head of state they cannot be assasinated.
Second, if you are killing someone who delights in and thinks it is Gods desire for him to kill women and children and who has done this repetedly. It's not murder, it's justice, and probably self defense.

It wasn't in cold blood. He was a horrible person who would have like to see YOU and every other American be slaughtered. He was a murderer, and i hope he's happy in the hottest pit in hell.

The pigs and other small farm animals in Iraq were demanding it. He has abused them for years in ways we can't mention on this site.

Hey - pork, I guess that leaves the 70 virgins intact.

I've said it before and I'll say it again:

Pay attention to what you say. It's illegal to kill a head of state of a sovereign nation. Not the head of a terrorist group.

That was not a assasination and this SOB was not a part of a
