This movie is a remake. It's not a bad remake, but it's a remake. I saw it at home and wished I'd seen it in the theater, the effects are dazzling. The acting is good, the plot is the same, the scripting is decent and there are a few genuine heart wrenching moments as well as some funny moments. I did like it overall and I'm a huge movie buff... however, I'm not a movie snob.
Give it a shot and if you can accept it for what it is, mostly eye candy, you will probably like it.

Since you rented you might as well watch the video.
Kill sum time. Watch something really crappy, laugh out loud, and oh..look out for bloopers.

It's much better in a theatre.. but it's a good movie overall.. and you already paid for it

it is a good story of course-good acting,not so good on graphics,but i liked it~i wouldn't watch the end because i am a crybaby and didn't want to see him die!lol~
