As long as two adults find a common ground, they work. My BF is 20 years older (I'm 27) and I can't imagine my life without him. We are on the same level in so many ways - maturity, goals, opinion, etc. Like any relationship, it comes down to a balance of give & take, acceptance, and respecting each other. I believe people come into our lives for a reason, and we learn and grow from them. Being in love is the greatest feeling in the world and age shouldn't stop anyone from experienceing it.

i think a situation like this should be just for fun and not considered as a serious situation. there is just too much difference in your life experience when you are 40, what can you possibly have in common with someone that is 20 except some fun sex? when a guy does it i think its called a midlife crisis, the guy wants to feel like he's still got it and the girl wants a father figure and the security of an established bf. the women i've known that have done it have seen it as just a fun thing and weren't foolish enough to take it seriously.

I don't see anything wrong with either of those! Age is just a number. It's how you feel on the inside. My aunt & uncle are 20 years apart.

This situation of discussion is the place the balance of equality gets disturbed. typical consensus might answer your question with a great fat resounding 'no it is not immoral', while in case you turn the jobs (older guy, youthful girls) the respond could be the whole opposite. Ah have been a stupid bunch us people, eh?
