Honestly? SEX, one of the best or walking. I walked 3 times in one day, once in the middle of the night, 2 hours later, my water started breaking. Good luck!

I've read the other responses and they are all good, though I wouldn't eat raw shrimp or and other raw meats they can contain harmful bacteria that could harm you and your baby. Instead of Castor oil I'd try a more natural laxative like prunes or other dried fruits. Sex is your best best believe it or not, and also the nipple stimulation. Sex doesn't "eat away" at anything, what happens is that an orgasm is actually similar to a contraction, and your trying to "pop the clutch" if you will and get things going. The nipple stimulation works because encourages hormones to be released for milk production which reminds your body, "oh yeah, I've got a baby in here!" Keep in mind too that due dates are arbitrary figures. You're babe just might need some more time, talk to your doctor and explain to him/her that you really do not want to be induced. Find out why he wants to induce you. If you're doing fine and the baby's doing fine, maybe you can come to some type of compromise. Good luck.

Nothing works. I tried caster oil, walking, sex, jumping jacks (which was funny to watch), squats (another good show for my hubby), I even bough that baby balm to rub on my belly! I looked on websites and tried everything! My son was still a month late and they had to induce me at the hospital. I've decided that it is purely coincidental if someone does go into labor while doing these things. Sorry.

Walking is the best. NOT jogging or running, but walking. There is really nothing wrong with being induced if it is best for the baby, and only the doctor can really decide that.

1. If you like shrimp try eating raw shrimp.
2. Get someone to rub your feet especially between your toes if you can handle it
3. Try going for a walk
4. My favorite have lots of sex the sperm eats away at the lining and helps thin it out
Congrats on your new baby

whatever you do, do NOT use castor oil, like one of the other posters suggested, all it will do is clean out your colon and at this stage of the game, you don't need to spend your night sitting on the toilet.

sex and walking are probably the best best for promoting dilation.

actually , it sounds silly, but play with your nipples, it releases oxytocin which causes labor to start. Just roll them between your finger and your thumb off and on all day, see if it helps.

okay i just had my son june 2. i honestly tried EVERYTHING!!! but the night before i went into labor my hubby and i had sex four times and believe me it hurt but i was determined to have my baby. each time we had sex i told him to get alittle rougher with it. after we finished i would prop my butt up because sperm makes you dilate. needless to say my hubby was happy and honestly 2 1/2 hours later i was in labor.
