Yes, you should love your dad. If it's absouletly horrible you should talk to someone about it. My dad used to hit me and I used to hate him for that made me start being very mean to him because we never had fun together or did anything he'd just hit me and then we'd get in huge fights. But then my dad got cancer and he died when I was only 15. We never ended anything on good terms and now theres nothing I can do. My dad was so strict I mean I couldn't go any where or anything. He would time how long it took me to get from my bus stop to my house and if i was even 1 min. late I'd get it. But shortly after he died I realized that I didn't hate him I only hated what he did. He was treated the same way as a kid so that coulda been where it all started. But if its too much to handle then talk to someone at school, a friends parent, an aunt, an uncle anyone. No body should be hit for NO reason.

You should always love your father, learn to forgive him, as well as try to keep yourself safe. Keep yourself safe by leaving when things get violent (even if you go to the city park and sit under a tree with some music for an hour) and come back when things calm down.
Abuse is something that will carry with you for the rest of your life if you let it. The best advice I can give is to forgive, let go and move on so it doesn't poison your soul with hate.

IBaby girl, if he is hitting you, he is probly hitting the whole family. (including the dog). Whats love got to do with it? He is sick and needs help! Call Dr. Phill or some hot line. Don't be a victim or a bystander. Good luck

Why does he hit you? If you deserve it, and he's trying to teach you listen, then yes, he's hitting you out of love. If he hits you for no reason, your dad has a problem, and should be reported to the authorities.

Call for help with domestic abuse, you need to talk to someone who can really answer your question. Tell someone with good judgment who you trust. As much as you love him, you do not deserve to be hit. I hope you never get hit again, and I hope you can be safe and happy.

It's confusing, but you can still love someone who abuses you. You just have to realize that they're sick--and dangerous.
If you are living in fear, you need to get some help. Contact a school counselor or a trusted adult, or child protective services.

The Bible says to HONOR your mother and father.... it says nothing about love....
You cannot let him abuse you. Tell someone if he's seriously hurting you! However, if you're a spoiled child who is mad because your dad spanked you, then I take back what I said...

I think yes you should still love him. always love him but you don't always have to like him. If he hits you then talk to your mom and see what she saids.
