My family is relocating to FL (Fort Meyers) and I am trying to plan an interview for next week. We plan to leave Friday 6/9/06 in the evening. I know all the technical details about mileage, etc, but am wondering what the "real" time will be...ex. has anyone else ever done this drive and how long did it take them?

Driving from St. Paul, MN to Ft. Myers, FL will take you:

24 hours 29 mins (1715.3 miles)

Don't forget to factor in stops along the way for food, gas, overnight stays at a hotel, etc...

So, yeah 30 hrs or so...

Hi there - I am the wife of a long haul trucker - if you leave on the evening of the 9th and drive it straight through at 62 miles per hour it will take you roughly 27 hours to get there - however, not knowing if you are taking kids with you or a dog that needs walking or if either of you suffer from over active bladders - it's difficult to pin point an exact arrival time - Your choice of route and whether or not there is road construction is another issue - plus each person drives differently so what one driver can do in 12 hours another might can do in 10 - so would actually need more info to really pin point so an estimate is the best you're gonna get - good luck and drive safe - hope you get the job!
