well is there something you can do about signing over your parental rights?

Go back in time and take the responsibility to use a condom. It takes two people to make a baby and two to pay for the expense of raising it. If you walk out on your child and your responsibility, you are a very small person. Unless your girlfriend is prepared to give the baby up for adoption, you are on the hook financially. Get a job, be a man, be a father.

If u didnt have sex w/ her u wouldnt have 2 deal w/ this situation at all, or u could @ least used a condom. You r the responsible one, the one who got her pregnant. Its selfish that u fooled around w/ her and got her pregnant then dont want the responsiblities that comes along w/ sex, a child and then on top of it only thinking about urself and not trying to help ur girl in taking care of the baby.

Oh well, you need to take responsibility for your actions wether you want to or not!! If you didn't want to pay for child support or abortion(not sure what you meant when you said you didn't want to pay) then you should have either kept it in your pants or used protection!! It's as simple as that. Now, what you need to do is be a man and face the fact that she's pregnant. You need to be there for her and the baby after it's born.
Bottom line, quit being so selfish and take responsibility for your actions!!

Hopefully you still want to be a part of your child's life. If you're not sure it's yours go to DNA Services of america, they're great. If you don't want to be a part of your child's life, they only way you can get out of it (And I'd really think this through) is you'd have to sign away all your parental rights. Which would mean you would never have a say in your child's life. That could haunt you forever. Good luck and hope you make the right choice for you.

My question is how does she feel about being pregnant? There is always adoption if you both don't want the child. There are plenty of families out there who want children. You should of that this through a little better, but we all have to learn. But if you don't want to be in this child's life, some day this child will come look for you. Please do what is best for the child, this is a time you shouldn't be thinking of yourself. God Bless.

you should have thought about that before you got her pregnant always use protection but to late for that now so you better get used to paying child support no matter where you move they will find you believe me every time you get a job your social security number goes into a data base and is automatically picked up by the bureau of child support so it is better to start off on the right foot with them i have 2 friends in jail now for non-support for less than 2,000 dollars be a man and pay for your child

Pay for what? You seem like the typical chicken sh*t male...Guys like you make me ill! You see a child as a burden or a bill, not as a miracle! Take responsbility for your actions, try being a man. That child could grow up and take care of you one day! That's the circle of life you dumb@ss! From now on, do us all a favor and keep your lil pecker in your pants, because in no way,shape or form are you mature enough to be using it!

I bet that baby didnt have any choice, where as you had the choice to make it.
Its not fair to make an innocent life suffer jsut because you dont feel you want to, or are emotionaly able to provide for a child.
Youre a dad now. You can either decide that this is the BEST thing to happen to you, and act accordingly, or decide that its the WORST thing to happen to you. Its your decision, but just take into account the type of person you intend to be, and protray to that baby.
Sometimes we grow up because we have to, not because we want to, or are ready to. Its time to consider yourself less, and that baby's life more.

Well there isn't anyting to pay for now but if she's smart she'll go after you with child support enforcement. If they tell you that you have to pay then you gotta or pay the concequences! You had sex, weren't safe and now you should do the right thing. Take responsibility.
