always repeat the question they ask you, and try to answer it quick and to the point. You need to remember they see a lot of people and they get really bored after a while. So if they ask you where did you work last? You would say back Whee did i work last, Well I worked at.... That will show that you listen and understand what they are asking you. If you don't hear the question or have trouble answering it let them know, so they can reword it or ask something different, I used to interview people all the time so I know what works.
But the most important thing is look them right in the eyes and talk clear and confident. That what will be remembered..

When employers ask this question, they're looking for you to mention your background and qualifications for the position that may not be listed (or may not be clear) on the resume. It's okay to talk about your personal interests and hobbies, but keep it to a minimum. This is also your opportunity to address how your personality and personal interests really make you a good fit for the job, so make sure you mention at least 3 positive personality traits (eg. hard worker, honest, responsible, etc.) and a specific work example for each. For example, "I'm a hard worker, as demonstrated by my position at ABC, where I volunteered for extended hours and more duties." Hope this helps you. Good luck!

Emphasize the things in your background that are important to the job. If it's your education, talk about specific classes and what you learned. If it's your previous jobs, talk about your responsibilities and skills. You can also talk about general personality characteristics (outgoing, good communicator, etc...) but make sure you can support these with specific behavioral examples.

It is a common question. I usually just go over what i want in my career if the job is related to your work history OR go over your resume..and describe your education, past jobs, and job duties...usually works.
