It is morally wrong not to enjoy ourselves. What about people who are blind, does that mean I should not want to see, or people who are deaf, does that mean I should not want to hear?
Whatever it takes to enjoy life and as long as it does not hurt anyone else, it should be done.

Ok someone will need to explain to "Dave" that this is NOT a masturbation question.
I do believe the powers at be want us to "experience life." There are ups and downs. And enough downs make us enjoy the opposite. It is not morally wrong. It is vastly important to feel the extremes in order to understand and appreciate the extremes. You cannot recognize one until you have experienced the other. So enjoy away!!!

i believe we can't ever say who has a capacity for enjoyment; i believe enjoyment is an individual preference/feeling. some people need great adventures for enjoyment, others may enjoy the taste of a sno-cone, whilst someone else may experience pleasure/happiness feeling the rain on their face. it is only morally wrong when the enjoyment is at someone else's expense.

You can't do anything about the people who can't enjoy themselves. That doesn't make your enjoyment wrong. Should we stop running because there are people in wheelchairs? The real wrong is to knowingly cause harm to another.

I dont think seeking pleasure in yourself is wrong as long as you are not harming urself or others. It will be definitely wrong if u find pleasure by hurting others or hurting urself be it physical or emotional. Mastruburation is just one way u can try many diff things like practising some martial arts or getting involved in some hobbies like painting or photography all of which are absolutely fine.

Life's a crapshoot. If someone is incapable of enjoyment, why should we only be as happy as the saddest person in the room?

One SHOULD enjoy all of GODS gifts-- in the contest they were given to us..... Most of the old discontinued 10 commandments were given for better health and survival - not just to be a party pooper.
