If you had unprotected sex 14 days after the 1st day of your last period the chances are that you are pregnant.
ex: 1st day of last period was May 1
Had unprotected sex on May 15
June 1 missed period
If this is the case take a pregnancy test.
Also, if you do not know all of this information my advice to you is to keep a journal on a personal calendar. It makes it much easier and less stressful. You won't have to worry as much.

It depends on how normal your period usually is. Is there a reason your worried that its late?
There is a lot of things that can make your period be late.
If you started any new medication, or if you had unprotected sex (thats a given), and if you have been under a lot of stress.
Those are the most common things that can affect your period. If you are really worried take a pregnancy test or go see your doctor!

You placed your answer in "Teen/pre-teen" so I'm assuming that's your age group. The periods of girls your age can erratic for a host of different reasons: stress at school, extra heavy physical athletics and the rumored "cow-syndrome" is very real (if you run with a pack of girls your period will "sync up" to one anothers). However to put your mind at ease I would go to a drug store and purchase a home pregnancy test.
Finally, practice safe SAFE sex. ALWAYS have your boy wear a condom. Pregnancy is really the least of your worries. How would you like to be purchasing an AIDS test or hepatitis test instead of a pregnancy test? In addition to condoms go and get a prescription for birth control pills. If you're too embarrassed to talk to your parents about this, your local Planned Parenthood will be able to schedule an appointment with you and will keep it confidential. DO NOT tell your boy you are on the pill as he may think it's OK not to use a condom. The pill is for pregnancy only, only a condom will protect you from all the other nasty things sex can give you. Good luck.

If you had sex and it is not normal for your period to be late at times, then you better hurry up and get yourself checked out.
If you didn't have sex then I would advice you to wait about 2 weeks and then, if it still won't come on, go to a gyn.
There are cases where the period will not come on time: for example, if you picked up a sport, such as running, it can happen. It can also happen if you recently went through emotional stress, such as a death in the family, the loss of a relationship, etc...but either way, if you had intercourse, you better go and take a pregnancy test right away...Good luck

Sometimes worrying about it will cause it to be late. If you didn't do anything this month then you have nothing to worry about. If you did, then a pregnancy test may be a good idea if you don't start in the next few days.

Are you sexually active? If so, have you been active recently (within 2 weeks or so)? If the answers are yes, you may be pregnant. If the answers are no, you may just have a hormonal imbalance. Wait a few days then see a doctor.

Well, the bigger worry is if it comes late, or if it doesn't come at all. If it comes late, worry a little but at least you know its still there. If it doesn't come at all, you're pregnant, or have a serious medical issue.
