if you want to set your homepage then open Internet options & enter the home page path & next time you open IE the homepage would appear or load.

You need to enter a website--for example http://answers.yahoo.com--at the top of the "General" tab, in "Internet Options" (in the "Tools" menu).

enter IE - search for page you want as home-
