Your mother is doing what your mother thinks is best. however, one of the hardest things for parents to do is to help them to grow up as they mature. She is concerned for your welfare.
You dont say how old you are, but talk with your mother and ask if you are able to have friends around to your place. It is a trust thing, she knows what boys can do and how vulnerable you can be. now if she trusts your boyfriend, she may start to allow you more freedoms. Dont betray her trust though or you will be back to where you started.

Your mom may be happy for your bf to join you all on family outings etc.
Just talk to her and explore options

tell her you want to talk...and ask her why she feels the way she does....what bad could a boyfriend do....ask her if she thinks you cant handle it...and then make your agruement ..tell her hes a good guy...that its not gonna lead to something it shouldnt and if you talk reasonable and our open to lissening to what she has to say...she might lissen to you
