Obviously most people are on here because they're bored or really need a question answered. I have a really boring summer job, and this makes the day go by faster. However, I'm trying to figure out who is more annoying...is it people that have no lives and always ask bull**** questions or is it the people that have no lives and always answer them with annoying remarks like "so you're gay?" or "go somewhere else" yada yada. Good luck to all the people that get on here seeking real answers to their questions.

I think that the people who are more annoying are the ones who are just trying to get points, so they just answer totally random things, like "my feet are sweaty" or "your breath stinks" or "thanks for the points". But the people who have no lives and ask dumb questions are a close second.
Glad to know that there are other sane people in the world who are looking for serious answers!
Have fun with your job, try counting ceilling tiles or something.

I go to the questions that look interesting. Yours is interesting. True most are bored. Since I skip the questions that are annoying, I really can't comment on them. Annoying answers, I get plenty, but I think most of them are trying to earn as many points as they can. When I receive annoying, or off the wall answers, I read go to the next answer, then choose the best answer. If they keep putting annoying remarks, hey, they will never be picked as Best Answer. Just remember - some people's questions may sound stupid to you because they aren't of interest to you but may be important to them (abeit I know there are some real hoaxy ones). I get on here just cuz I like it and sometimes to pass the time. I like to hear other people's views on certain things. What's funny though is you can ask a Bush question at different times of the day and get different answers (like the first time you ask - everyone will be agreeing with you and the second one - everyone is against what you are saying). It's kind of funny. Even when there are repeat questions - sometimes you can get better answers from different people who are on here. I've gotten some very good and funny answers on certain things.

Most of the question and answer results you refer to are from kids testing out society's reactions to things...unfortunately part of the development process of adolescence. The best way to respond to them is in a way that gives them a good, fresh perspective on how the world can be if they take part of it in a positive way, ie: be a role model. If what they put here is very upsetting or annoying to someone, it's best for that persone to just skip over them.
BTW, there are lots of reasons people use Yahoo! Answers. To fill a social void, to keep from thinking about how lonely they are, to procrastinate on difficult homework because they have nobody to help them, because they're stoned, because they're trying to deal with anger, because they're interested, because they love to interact with people, to learn (believe it or not), to sort things out, and any number of other reasons. The reason I come is to practice being a good person and build my skills in communicating positively. We're all so different with different lives and things we're dealing with. It's best not to judge why complete strangers come here...and fruitless. Being kind here is under-rated. It goes a long way.

The people who just answer with rude remarks because they have no lives is worse because they are just wasting our time. If someone really needed a question answered and someone with no live gave a rude answer it is just wasting everyone's time.

Of the two, the gay questions are worse.
However, even worse than that are those who ask questions like "why is the sky blue."

I think they are the same people that do both......so I think they are both equally as lame. Yeah, you have to search hard for real questions...and then ignore all of the ignorant answers. Such is life!

It's better to answer a gay quiestion with a funny answer than to answer a funny question with a gay answer.
