What good is refinancing if you can't pay, since you obviously didn't pay the currect car loan?

If you can get a cosigner who has good credit, join a credit union and apply for the car loan there. It will help if the comaker has had an account at the credit union. If you have a good cosigner, almost any lender wilkl give you a loan as long as the car is not worth less than the amount needed to refinance. You might have to prepay some amount to make that happen.
