If a rt handed batter swings at the ball and it dribbles into his own or the opposite batter box but on the field of play side of the foul line, is it playable or considered foul?

It really depends...
if the ball hits the batter its a foul
if it goes into a batters box and stops in the box then its foul
if the ball rolls into the box and then rolls into fair territory then the batter had better hall to first.

See the batters boex are in foul territory

But If the ball rolls fair and the catcher pics it up then its a fair ball!

Fair ball.

If ball hit him while he was still in the batter's box - foul ball.
If ball hit him or he stepped on the ball after he was out of the box - he's out.

it is a playable ball as long as it is on the play side of the foul line

Fair ball! as long as it stops in the field of play. It happened to me in pony league. hit in my batters box and went fair and i was safe.

its playable as long as it doesn't go over the foul line and its an out if it bounces of the bat and hits the player.

Its playable but if it hits the batter then the batter is out.
