usually right after your first missed period with an early pregnancy test

Some women know they are pregnant instinctively. Often the first sure sign is a missed period, but that can be caused by other things as well, including stress.

Other symptoms of pregnancy are sore tender breasts, tingling nipples, a metallic taste in your mouth, a heightened sense of smell, increased v. discharge.

Some women get implantation bleeding which is a small bleed, not enough to be a period, which happens 9-12 days after fertilisation. It is where the egg implants in the wall of the uterus.

There are some tests you can do up to 4 days before a missed period but it is better to wait until after you miss a period because the hormone level will be higher.

Good luck!

in general you can find out about 12-14days after conception i.e the day you had unprotected sex, by urine test. by blood, it can be detected sooner.
generally, if there are many possible dates of conception and therefore you cant pinpoint exactly, you can use the 1st date of when your next period is due. the hCGhormone level would have risen high enough for all good pregnancy test to detect it. here im talking about a pregnancy test with a sensitivity of 25mlU/ml (milli-international units per millileter) the ones you can buy in the shops. if you wish to test sooner like 3/4days you should find a test with a sensitivity level of 15mlU/ml.
if, after testing on your first day of due period you get a negative result, wait two/three days and, if you have not got your period still, then test again. because during the early weeks of a normal pregnancy, hCG hormones double every 48-72hours so by that time it would definately be high enough to detect.
hope that has helped.
good luck!

If you have an idea of when you ovulate, you can sometimes tell about 10-14 days after ovulation in some cases. But, since everyone is different, it could be a while longer.

WIth my first pregnancy, I didn't know until almost a month after I missed my period.

If you get a test i think the earliest is 5 days before your missed period. Usually doctors us the same kind of test in their office but if you get a blood test you might be able to find out earlier it all depends on how strong the hormone is in your body
