A name is very special. It should only be given with great care. One option is to pick a name that has a variation with it and use it to set the frame of mind for the child that they have reached adulthood. For example - if you had a child named Robert, you would always call him Robert until he reached his teenage years and then explainn to him you will start calling him Bob as a sign of his maturity. When he acts like a child again you call him Robert. Otherwise always call him Bob, showing him you respect his age. This works for girls also, but a suitable name excapes me. Please read the book listed in source. It will be a great help.

no, Wendy would be better. Wendsday sounds like Wednesday....no it's not a good name for a child.

If that's a typo and not a spelling mistake, Wednesday then it's an OK name but if you can't spell it, it would be better for you to name a baby something you can spell. She can always shorten it to Wendy if she doesn't like it once she's older.

It is not. People will always assume it is Wednesday, mispelled. She will have to explain her name or spell it out all the time. Spare the child that.

Wednesday doesn't do it for me, too. Too Addams Family-ish.

Sure, if you want her to grow up to be a creature from the Addams Family.

And people, why do you all think using any random item or city makes good names!!!???

Are you goth? (not that there's anything wrong with goth)
I think I would name a child something that sounds more promising - remember - they're stuck with this handle for a lifetime. To me it sounds like you're building obsticles for the child to overcome before they've even learned to walk.

Monday’s child is fair of face,
Tuesday’s child is full of grace,
Wednesday’s child is full of woe,
Thursday’s child has far to go . . .
