area or volume???

area = 2 (3.4 * 3 + 3*2.2 + 2.2*3.4 )
in square meters.

volm = 3.4*3*2.2
in cubic meters.


I only edited bcoz ever1 is giving wrong ans for area. Correct area is 48.56 sq mtr. I dont understand how it can b 6.6

volm = 22.44 cubic mtr

You are measuring volume because you have 3 dimensions.

3.4 m x 3 m x 2.2 m = 22.4 m3

The answer is 22.4 cubic meters, nothing to do with area.

I think that everyone has answered your question sufficiently. As you can see from the other replies, area and volume are two different things. Area relates to two dimensions and volume relates to three dimensions.

I notice in your answer that you've put "(area covered)." If you mean "surface area" please edit your existing question stating this fact, and I'll be glad to help.

If it wasn't for the unusual dimensions,I would say you were a plasterer or decorator!

Yes above is correct.

it is 22.44 cubic meters is the volume and the area is 6.6 sq meters

The total surface area is: 2*3*2.2+2*3.4*3+2*3*3.4=13.2+20.4+20.4=54 smts
