Once Bush is gone, his damage will be done but not all done. He's only just started. Waging war on the entire planet, because, they don't live like us, or can't be "as proficient"(ha)as us. Meanwhile, my brothers, nieces, nephews, father, and son, son-in-law, are in the Navy, Nat. Guard ,Army and Marines, And Air Force. So, tell me how this is for the good of all mankind, and why my only son is fighting so you can put gas in your car, and why my family is fighting to make a bunch of warmongers posing as businessmen posing as poiticians , RICH. please tell me, about the heads getting chopped off over there, and how the stars and stripes are going to make it all better. Tell me how fairies are going to come down and stop all the car bombings in Bag dad and in Newark. Tell me Bush is the Messiah thats gonna lead my son down the yellow brick road and bring back his father-why don't you tell Bush to fight ,he seems to be the only one who wants to anyway. Please, straighten me out

Let me start off by saying that to support the war is different than to support the country, especially since we blame the soldiers for a war they either went into to help or, the unspoken side of the matter, were forced to fight due to the draft. Answerman63, I believe she's saying she doesn't want her relatives dying for a lost cause, a meaningless cause, not kill them so YOU can say "God bless America," in the safe confines of your home, as oddly enough, the rich that support the war never volunteer. Let me also add, that we OUGHT to be in Africa, fighting real terrorists, the Janjaweed, or looking for Osama bin Laden, in Pakistan.

I can tell your pain, Diane. When your familiy is in a war, that still delivers feelings of fear for them. But when they are in a war with absolutely no meaning, it makes it all the more painful. It's like amputating a good leg; meaningless, painful, and irreplacible. For the rest of you that THINK she is just bashing her own bloodline, let me feed your bias: imagine that we entered this war under the Clinton Administration, imagine that 3 years ago, Billy and Hillary stood out there with champagne with a banner above them reading, "Mission Accomplised", while children were left to be slaughtered and maimed in Iraq, meanwhile there is no one to stop Osama, and terror being reigned on the children (and I mean literal children this time) in Uganda by Joseph Kony and the Janjaweed. Imagine that, and then tell me how meaningfull the war is.

What about Iran or Africa? We are not about to go there. The world and many Americans have shown themselves as too craven to fight against evil, so we probably will not be doing anything in those countries.

As for damage, what damage is that? You people rant and rave and throw tantrums about the 'damage' Bush has done, or how he has 'ruined' things, yet you manage to never posit one single shred of proof or fact or truth that this is actually the case.

Your wild ravings about waging war on the entire planet make you just another hysterical know-nothing. Oil, rich, blah, blah, blah. Grow up, read, get educated, seek wisdom. You've failed to do these things so far. And it shows.

First off you said than... it should be then. Anyway, the thing is that you seem to think that Bush started this whole mess with enforcing our ways on others. Have you forgotten about the Spanish-American war, the invasion of Mexico in the early 20th century, WW 1, Korea, Vietnam, Bay of Pigs, Grenada, Panama, Haiti, Kosovo, Serbia before that, Somalia? Sorry to break it to you, but we're a very war-like people. We like drama, and when there's nothing going on around here, we randomly pick fight around the world.

For starters, you are worse than those you spew venom about. You say you have relatives fighting over there, yet you spit on them, by spitting on the cause for which they are fighting. They aren't fighting so we can gas up our cars; if this was about oil then we'd have attacked Venezuela and Mexico....they're closer, have as much or more oil, and would have been a lot easier to defeat.

This is a war on terrorism and against a culture of ingrained hatred that denies freedom to their own people, straps bombs to their own children, and yes, CHOPS OFF HEADS of innocents... and endangers other free societies in the world, including our own. This war you despise has enabled 20 million+ people to be able to elect their own leaders for the first time, allowed women to be equal citizens for the first time, and is gradually removing the authors of hatred and oppression from power, including al-Zarqawi who was taken out today by the proud fighting men and women of which your family members are a part.

And, last time I checked, it's still a volunteer army, so your relatives had a choice not to join-but they did, and I'll bet money that each one of them is proud to serve their country in defense of freedom. And you should be ashamed for not fully supporting them and their cause.

No one ever called Bush a messiah, nor did he ever claim to be. There are over 3000 dead people in New York City whose souls cried out for justice and our President promised their families that the authors of terrorism would be stopped, and thus far he is living up to that promise. We don't want the world to live like us; we want oppressed people to have the opportunity to live in freedom.

Instead of regurgitating what liberal network media babes and Barbra Streisand tell you, try to learn to think for yourself, and while you are at it, support our troops.

My heart and prayers go out to you. I just don't know what else to say. I can't even say I know how you feel as I have no family fighting over there. All you can do is pray your loved ones return safely. As for Bush, well, it's just a lost cause.
Good luck to you and yours.

I really cannot. Most people who post, say what they think with NO knowledge of the actual thing that's going on. It seriously troubles me that you and others in your situation are going through that, especially when those with nothing and no one on the (front)line whine that the War in Iraq actually means anything and anyone who disagrees is un-American.
